Rail Signalling Update

Published: 12 March 2019

Network Rail is upgrading signalling on the line between Ferriby, Gilberdyke and Saltmarshe as part of a £50 million investment to improve the railway in East Yorkshire later this autumn.

Work will take place over 23.5 route miles and will include the installation of 49 new signals, 14 point end renewals, and 11 level crossing renewals. There will be times when bus replacement services will have to operate whilst the railway is closed between Selby and Hull and Goole and Hull.
