North Ferriby Wind Farm Grant

North Ferriby is in receipt of a goodwill payment from the operator of the 2 wind turbines that have been erected on Melton Fields. North Ferriby Parish Council will manage this fund for the benefit of the community of North Ferriby and will allocate the £7,650 of funding provided on an annual basis. 

The objective of the fund is to provide grants that support community activities that enhance quality of life for residents or promote community spirit and encourage community activity. 

Grants for funding between £100 to £5,000 are available to the following groups that are based in North Ferriby or which wholly benefit the residents of North Ferriby: 

Voluntary Organisations
Community Groups 
Small Charities
Not for Profit Organisations 
Local Amenities 
Small local businesses*

*where there is a clear community benefit to the application 

Groups should have a constitution or governing document, a bank account and have been in existence for at least 6 months. The fund is not open to applications from private individuals or where there is an individual that will be the sole beneficiary. 

Grants will be allocated on an annual basis - applications must be submitted by the end of July each year with successful applications receiving money at the beginning of October. Depending on the level of grant requested, the Parish Council may ask you to attend a parish council meeting to present your project and be available to answer any questions. There is also an expectation that any successful grants will supply evidence on completion of the project and be willing to be included in publicity of the fund.
